Marie Burdick - Has been teaching young students and adults. She studied with thirteen outstanding teachers in "Oil" and "Water Color", over thirty years in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Her participation in shows include about 100 outdoor shows, group, solo and juried shows, also banks and libraries. Many awards soon followed. Best in show, purchase awards and also works in private collections. Marie is a member of the "Essex Watercolor Club", "Millburn Short Hills Art Center", "American Artist Professional League". Freedom of expression, originality typify her style.
Joan De Niscia - an award winning artist and teacher, lives in Montclair. She studied painting with many of the area's outstanding artists and continued her art education in the graduate program at Montclair state University. Joan lived in Saudi Arabia where she taught watercolor and was featured in many exhibitions including a one person show. She has also exhibited extensively in juried shows in NJ and NY as well as on a national level, receiving numerous awards. Her work is in private collections in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Throughout the years, her talents have also led her to positions as judge, juror, critic, and teacher. She is affiliated with the La Romita School in Terni, Italy, where she will be teaching workshops beginning in the fall of 2001. Joan is a member of Pen & Brush, NYC: and the American Artists Professional League, NYC.
Lydia Lehmbeck - artistic inclination was first inspired by the pastoral beauty of her hometown beside the Elbe River. The picturesque settings on her native Germany were the subjects of her first paintings, and they provided the genesis for her beautiful renderings of the Eastern Shore and rural Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Ms. Lehmbeck was employed in the medical field until 1973. Following her graduation from Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ in 1976. Lydia devoted her full energies toward establishing herself as a serious watercolor artist. since then she has studied with well known watercolorists William Senior, Gladys Russell, and Ferdinand Petriem as well as the Art Students League in NYC. Ms. Lehmbeck's watercolors are characterized by her desire to paint with a monochromatic palette. However, her floral paintings deviate in order to bring out nature's colorful chance. In addition to her participation in art shows in New Jersey and nearby states, Lydia has exhibited in several galleries and private institutions, and has won many awards.
Donna M. Grande - an award winning artist and teacher, lives in Montclair. She studied at the Art Students League in NY, NJ School of Visual Arts, Koho School of Sumi Painting, NY, Montclair State University (BA, Arts, Speech & Theatre, Dance) and FIT, NY. She has exhibited extensively in juried shows in NJ and NY, receiving numerous awards. Her talents have made her an outstanding art teacher as well as art judge and critic.
