Project F.A.S.T. – Fun and Study Time.
After school /after care program for special education students ages 13 and older providing academic support, recreational activities and socialization. Located at the Bloomfield Civic Center. Program operates Monday – Friday, however part time schedules are available. Program hours are 3:30 pm until 6:00 pm.
Horizons
Group meets every Friday night 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Objectives include life skills, socialization and community involvement. Favorite activities include bingo, dining at local restaurants, movies, night at the races, arts and crafts projects and a monthly speaker on life skills (i.e. Nurse, fireman, police, job recruiter). Ages 18 and older.
Friday Night Canteen
Younger brother of Horizons. Ages 17 and under. Meets every Friday 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 pm at a local school gymnasium. Promotes socialization and recreation. Activities include video room, recreation activities, arts and crafts and snack time. Theme parties are also celebrated (i.e. Christmas, Valentines, Halloween, etc.) along with special trips including Circus, New Jersey Jackals games.
Although we strive for a zero rejection rate, the reality is we are not equipped to services all handicaps. However, we make every effort to accommodate everyone.
